In an effort to bring you great alternatives to store bought salad dressings ( which contain inflammatory, refined and processed oils), I bring you this alternative to ranch dressings.
I know ranch is an easy go-to for a crowd pleasing salad dressing or a quick dip for veggies. Rather than use a version full of additive and dangerous ingredients, take 2 minutes to whip up this heart healthy, brain feeling version.
RECIPE
2 Avocados
1/2 Cup plain yogurt
1/3 cup mayo (find my recipe here)
Juice from 1 lemon
2 cloves of garlic
2 tbsp of finely chopped red onions or scallions
2 tsp. dried basil
1.5 tbsp dijon mustard
Combine all ingredients in a food processor or blender until smooth. Keep in the fridge for up to 1 week.
